These are some beam shots of the Eiger with different power levels and optics. The side spills are not as defined in the pictures as in real world views. All of these pictures were shot with the same F-stop and shutter speed. I left the white balance on automatic instead of choosing one of the 12 different options. Lack of experimenting time with the camera settings, wanted to get these posted. The extreme color shift of some of the shots are not accurate, the cool LEDs have a very slight blueish tint and the natural LED outputs are very white. The wall color is a Navajo white which has a yellowish tint. These photos were shot with the lights positioned at 4-1/2 feet from the wall target. I have another set at 13 feet that I will post later. In this series I have included several other lights as comparisons to the Eiger. All of the lights were powered with a single Alkaline AAA battery except for the 7 LED McKinley. The Peak Matterhorns were Ultra power levels as is the 7 LED McKinley. The Nichia GS has an output of 60 Candela and the color tint is close to actual. The spacing marks on the target are at 6 inch intervals.

Re: Eiger Beam Shots

Hi Robyn, have any lights been shipped yet?
Any photos of the light itself.
Both these shots say natural but the tint on one looks like it should be marked cool?
Is the white balance correct the natural LED is looking very yellow?

Re: Eiger Beam Shots

Any beamshot with a #4 widebeam

Re: Eiger Beam Shots

I only got 4 narrow and 4 wide angle reflectors for testing and those have been sold in other power levels. Now that I know that they work as well as I had hoped, we will order more. Currently I only have medium angle optics in stock. Need to get more natural tint Rebels also.

One of my other projects is a 3 LED Rebel head with a switch selectable multi-level output powered with a CR123A Lithium battery. You would be able to choose between three different color LEDs, (Red, White, Blue for example), and two power output levels for each LED. That light will have the same dimensions as the Rainier except with a slightly longer head to accommodate the switch. If all goes well you can see it in about a month from now. Only one LED would be powered at a time.

Are these going to be posted? I think they could be very useful, particularly if there are shots with all three beams together.

I for one have been on the sidelines waiting for some additional comparison beamshots. In the time since this was published I've spent a few hundred bucks worth of lights and none of it went to Peak since I don't know which angle to buy. I know there is little you can do to easily fix your website, but you can at least follow up on your promises! That is if you want the business.

Re: Eiger Beam Shots

Awesome. This seems to be the ideal general use EDC light. I don't need throw when I am walking around at night or looking for something I dropped in the movie theater...

PPal locked and loaded. Thanks.

Here are some shots at 13ft and at 35ft. All of these shots were taken with the same camera and same settings as the pictures in our first post of beam shots.

I think you could charge extra when taking phone orders. I've had the genuine pleasure of speaking to both Robyn and Curt several times and found that they not only provide excellent advice on what Peak to purchase but also are happy to talk about design choices in making some of the best flashlights available! This certainly adds to the experience of purchasing and pleasure of owning Peak products.

Re: Eiger Beam Shots

My Eiger #8 Medium warm with 10440 battery, about 40' to the fence.
This is what I was seeing.

FR1000 at 35ft ....all I can say is WOW. Funny thing is the #8 Eigers are not that far behind and you can keep one on your keychain!
