Nice find. Unfortunately it looks like it costs about EUR 60 to ship to the US :sigh:

Sometimes it is a problem to be on a different continent...

Yeah can be a problem being on different continents.
Although I find shipment from Germany to most of Europe is often quite reasonable and most of the times cheaper than from UK.
The cost of shipment for the two LifePO4 charger kits and a lux meter is ~9 EUR - not so bad IMHO. Could be much worse and practically the same as within my country.

From outside EU the problem is not the cost of shipment and not the import duty which is mostly just a few percent. But the 25% VAT and a fee to the transport company for calculate the duty and VAT :sigh: Luckily there's a minimum value pr shipment so if just ordering very few things from DX at a time you should not encounter problems.

They are obviously charging a lot more than the cost of sending it with airmail using Deutsche Post. 9 EUR to Denmark and 30 EUR to Sweden?!

That's more complex.

DHL parcel to the US w/o insurance 13.90 € = 19.12 USD.

A parcel can't be covered by insurance, so most senders only ship as packet, which is always insured. (Higher weight and bigger size allowed by the way.)

DHL package to the USA 35.00 € = 48.15 USD. :thumbsdow

If taxes are to be payed with shipping to the US (I'm not sure about that) add another 19%.

But from the US to Germany they sometimes claim the same prices. :sick2: :mecry:

Shipping from Hongkong is cheaper!
