I just placed an order for some more Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries yesterday and I had to do a double take when I suddenly realized how many of these things I now have. As of my order, here is the official count over here:

Duraloop AAs - 32

Eneloop AAs - 16

That's a grand total of 48 LSD NiMh AA batteries. Eight months ago I had zero so these things multiply like rabbits! I just love these batteries and I can't believe that it took me *that* long to discover them. lovecpf

I was wondering, how many Ene/Dura-loop batteries do you have at the moment?

I bought my first eneloops last Dec. along with some powerex 2700's mainly for my camera's and flash. Before that I owned a few energizers that doesn't even compare to eneloops/duraloops. But since I got into flashlights this past March, my batteries have multiplied. I now have:

Eneloop AA's - 28

Duraloop AA's - 8

Eneloop AAA's - 20

Duraloop AAA's - 8

I also have 44 more AA's (powerex, energizers, rayovacs, duracells) and 20 more AAA's. It's way more than I need but this has become an obsession/addiction and I just can't stop.....not yet anyway. :shakehead

i have built up slowly to:

duraloops AA= 12 every single one is in use
duraloops AAA=4 bought today so i need another flashlight.

if i feel like i need to buy a battery these are what i buy. i think they are well worth the money and they can be had here locally.

I may have a problem...

I bought some Duraloops (shortly after I joined here) once I learned about them.

Just before I bought them, I had purchased a Sanyo Eneloop charger (and 4 Eneloops) on clearance at Walmart cheap.

Now I have 32 AA Duraloops....and I just got 12 more in the mail.

82 Duraloop AA
24 Eneloop AA
12 Duraloop AAA
6 Eneloop AAA

Got in on the recent sales on Duraloops. :)

Only 6 Duraloops

Just started...

O.T- which is better: duraloops or eneloops? Or is it just personal preference?

Eneloops and Duraloops are the exact same cell they just have different wrappers. Which one you get usually depends on availability and price.

Hi I have.

8 X AA eneloops

4 XAAA eneloops

I have never seen duraloops for sale in any stores that I hav been in here in Australia.

Are they better than the eneloop's ???

Cheers
Tod

they are the same battery with a different wrapper. 'duraloops' have a duracell label

why does everyone have sooooo many? i just charge mine when i need to so i don't need more than the ones i have.

Eneloop AA: 44
Eneloop AAA: 12

Duraloop AA: 16
Duraloop AAA: 48

From now on, I will only be able to acquire Duraloops since Costco stopped carrying them.
Fortunately a national drug store chain puts the Duraloops on sale practically every month for $7 or $8 for a 4-pack.

Almost all my lights are powered by AA batteries and all of my high quality electronic equipment like my Nikon F-100 camera and SB-23 speedlight are also powered by AA batteries. Two of my other hobbies are travel and photography, so I like to use just one type of battery (AA) when I leave home. Thus, I need batteries for my lights and camera equipment, plus spares for when the batteries go dead while I'm far from some place to plug in my charger.

Also, I'm into R/C and my radio (Futaba Magnum) uses AA batteries as well.

Eneloop and Duraloop batteries are like money. You can never have too much, though there are CPF members that have a *LOT* more of both than me! :D

I've had 16aa and 16aaa Duraloops sitting in their packages for a few months cuz my same number of Rayovac Hybrids just won't die. On top of those, I got lucky at Target last month and picked up 8 more 4packs of Hybrids for $2.62 a pop.

I used to have at least 30 AA eneloops, maybe more...but after I sold both Mag85s and gave away a small assortment of AA lights I've dumped most of my cells each with 3-4 partial cycles at Co0p's house
now I think...2AAA eneloops
5 AA eneloops
no duraloops

Eneloop AA: 42

Duraloop AA: 6

-----------------------
total of ---> 48

These are GREAT batteries ! ! !

:twothumbs

Eneloops:
16x AA
6x AAA

Duraloops: none yet, because I'm lucky and the little computer store down the road constantly re-orders new 4 packs of each type of Eneloop. He tells me I'm the only one who keeps coming in and buying them. I tell him he's the only store in the city that has any left.
