Are there different ratings of eneloops for each battery size (e.g., are there multiple AA versions?) or are these the ones that i need to get?

Those are the latest, they are rated for even lower self discharge and more charge cycles. The originals and those are both rated at 2000mah capacity so either is fine, but for the same price you might as well have the latest version if they are available.

Don't worry about it. There are no black top Eneloops.
