Hey all,
Not sure if this post should be here or in the marketplace but I'll pass the information on anyway.
I was in my local 'Extra Foods' grocery store today looking at the batteries and I noticed that the 'Presidents Choice' NIMH AA batteries had the 'white tops' on them and made in japan on the back. They were 2000 mah and also said they retain 85% of their charge over a year on the package. The batteries and charger are also pure white color like the eneloop system.
I was going to pick some up and post some pictures but I just couldn't justify it right now with my current supply of Duraloop batteries and charger. I'm curious to give them a try so I might end up going back anyway. <grin>
If you wondering about price... if I remember correctly they were selling the regular charger and four AA's for $24.99 or just the 4 AA's pack for $12.99. They also had the same type of 'family rechargable kit' like eneloop sells which had the charger, 4 AA's, 4 AAA's, 2 C's, and 2D's (something like that) for about $32.00.
Anyway... sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but it's nice to know there's a more common place to get these batts now if true.
