I'm confused about the L's. I must've missed something in the comments along the way but what is the L, LLL and LLLL thing? I don't recall those terms being used to describe lights or drop-ins in the past.

The L stands for lower output, and lower battery usage resulting in longer run times. Generally speaking, for every L, the lumens are cut in half, as is the resulting draw on the battery, doubling the run time at a fixed lumen output.

You can get the L variants from Malkoff as well when they are in stock. But not in Nichia, just usually cool white or warm and some neutral tints.
