Ever use \"Red Cell\" batteries?

Red Cell is a brand of batteries sold by CompUSA around here at $10 per 40-pack. The are alkaline AA cells and I'm guessing they're similar to the Costco/Kirkland cells that are around the same price. I think they may be made by Varta. Anyone tried them? Runtime measurements would be even better, of course.

Re: Ever use

I bought a couple of 40-packs a while back from CompUSA, put them all in LGIs and sent'em out, also ran a few sets through my own SLGI. Seemed as good as any other brand with no complaints so far, though I admit no formal testing was ever done.

Re: Ever use

They work,
I just purchased a 4 pack of AAA cells for 85 cents on sale. I used some of their D cells a few months ago, they did not seem to last as long as Energizers. Then again, what the heck do I know? I guess I should of kept track of run time but after 6 hours the list gets too long.

Re: Ever use

I use them. I've never tested them, but at $10 for a 40 pack it don't matter if they're not quite as long lived as namebrands. Didn't realize they sell AAAs. Gotta look for those.

Re: Ever use

I have tons of them and they work great in all the kids toys /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif... (I get the good stuff) ;-)
