Hello fellow Flashaholics,

This is my first post; I've been lurking here for a while and I still can't believe there are a bunch of other people like me who love things that light up dark rooms and corners.

Does anyone know when Surefire is releasing their 5W Luxeon heads? I'm looking into buying a Surefire, but I don't want to be worried about a $15 lamp breaking, and I don't like how their lamps get damaged by running on low batteries.

I already have a Badboy 400 (Thanks Wayne!) and I love it...already blinded myself a bunch of times. I don't see any reason to get a KL1/3 since the Badboy is also a 1W Luxeon and uses cheaper 2AA batteries.
 
After all the crap that they got for not meeting release dates (much of which was contained here on CPF), Surefire doesn't announce expected release dates anymore.
