Hello Everyone,
As promised.. a review of the 3 EZ AAs I have.

The V1.. (A bit beat up.. it's been EDC'd heavily with a large number of keys)

General: This light doesn't fail to amaze people... I sometimes point it at friends.. they say "wow.. that's not very bright compared to your other lights.." and then I turn it to high... The small form factor, makes it very easy to edc.. not so much on a keychain due to its size and weight.

V1: This light has been on my keychain for a long time, then it was transferred to a friend's keychain temporarily.. been pretty beat up, but still useful! The qualms I have with this is the amount of turning to get to high.. takes quite a bit.

V2: This light has a slightly brighter low mode than the V1.. useful when you're outdoors, IMO! The turning to get to high has been fixed, it now only takes quick twist to get to high mode.

V2W: My second warm tinted light, and I'll have to say, it doesn't disappoint! Strangely, the light requires a bit more turning to get to high compared to the V2, but still less than V1

Is the V2W a prototype?
How do I order one? I only see one EZAA listing in 47s.com & 47s.ca.

V2 would be the improved EZAA. V1 the original one that was scrapped. The warm LED runtime profile looks a little different.

.. don't see a lot of diff between v1 and v2..

(I mean runtime wise.. the hotspot on v2 is clearly larger)

Interesting, EZAA V2's look like they have more output than Quark, and Quark has less intense spill, but brighter hotspot, which does make sense, as it is using the newer XPE and has a larger reflector.

it's supposed to be the driver efficiency on low.. the original quark's low runtime was pretty bad, aparrently.

I can't exactly do low runtimes as they go into the 20 hr range.

also, the quarkAA is rated to 90 lumens, and the EZAA is rated to 130.

csshih,
It would help if you specify the LED in each of the 3 EZAAs.

What did you do to the version 1, chew on it?, just kidding. :nana:
Great review!!!
