EZAAw Runs Hot

Is it only me, or do other folks find that their EZAAw runs really hot? After about 10-15 mins of tailstand on high, mine gets right to the edge of being too hot to hold it. This is running on an Eneloop. Even if I hold it from cold turn on, it warms up and makes holding it in my hand uncomfortable after a while (but longer than 10-15 mins). All of my other lights run significantly cooler with similar output and better runtime (I seem to only get about 45-50 mins on my EZAAw).

Any other hot EZAAw out there or do I have a defective unit?

yes, they all run rather hot.. driving an led that high in such a small body will generate quite a bit of heat.

45-50 minutes? It's possible you got one with a higher LED forward voltage.. this variation is normal.

Yup... normal. I'm good with the low on this light. However I wish the high was ~50 lumens for ~3 hours...
