Oh man, one of the most under-rated rock bands! I haven't heard a Queensryche song since Q102 went under here in dallas/fort worth.

OK, shouldn't this be MY thread?

Personally, I don't think I can pick an overall Fav. Just a list:

The Lady Wore Black
Take Hold of the Flame
Gonna Get Close to You
Surgical Strike
London
All of Operation: Mindcrime
Empire
Silent Lucidity
Thin Line
Damage
I am I
Lady Jane
Promised Land

I am not as into the new stuff, but still have them and like them.

I love em all... every single one.. though... silent lucidity is my least fav. A chorus or so too long if ya ask me. Empire was more of a commercial album... To make the record company happy. There was more innovation shown on Mind Crime and Rage for Order.

My Favorite band /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

silent lucidity and jet city women, the only two songs i know of from qryche. both of them are from the same album, empire i think. mebbe i should buy it.

Mindcrime is correct! It SHOULD be his thread.

To be honest, I forgot about Rage For Order, and the one before that (have cassettes of them somewhere).

And to be truthful, some of Empire is damn good too!

But Operation:Mindcrime is about as good as a CD can be!!!

ALLRIGHT!

The buddy that fixed me up with Mindcrime is going to fix me up with Rage For Order and Warming.

It's NICE to have friends!!!

Oh, and I think "Walk in the Shadows" is my Fav song for the moment!

Revolution Calling... or maybe Suite Sister Mary. It's a toss up between the two.

Revolution Calling is the anthem of all the disenfranchised and completely ignored. It flays open the ugly truths about government, and big business, and the feelings of hopelessness in fighting the system... "Who do you trust when Everyone's a crook?"

Suite Sister Mary is love, and pain, at their most beautiful. Mary was always there for him, she never judged, inspite of it all their souls were inextricably linked. He had a job to do, he knew the pain that he would cause but that they would be together in the afterlife.

Empire is a much more commercial venture. Good none-the-less. The earlier works, Warning and Rage For Order, were great warm-ups, precursers of what was to come. Op:Mindcrime is the pinnacle, the standard by which everything else is judged.

I only know of Silent Lucidity. Maybe I should investigate more. But then again, I just discovered The Cure.

One of my favorite bands...Good stuff upto Promised Land. From there, it was all down hill, unfortunately.

More notables: London and Screaming in Digital from Rage for Order
Take Hold of the Flame and Roads to Madness from The Warning
I am I, Damaged, Promised Land and Someone Else? from Promised Land.
Anybody Listening?, Empire, and Best I Can from Empire.
