I realize the L1D-CE is ok with a single lithium primary but is the L2D-CE safe with two Lithium primaries or will that be too much juice for it?

I just picked up one of each. I currently own an L1T and LOP-SE that I have been very happy with and the fact that the L1D-CE pretty much blows my HDS 60 out of the water in run-time and out put all using a AA I had to give it a try. When I compared the numbers for a Surefire L2 against the L2D-CE I just had to give that a try as well.

Now these lights have nothing, read that as NOTHING on the build quality of the HDS or Surefire but they are darn fine lights in and of themselves. I have really grown to like my L1T so I assume I will really like the L1D and L2D

Thanks
Chris

I just measured a fresh Energizer Lithium to 1.8 volts, so that times two, will put you in 3,6V. FLR states (Quickbeam said he got the number from the manufacturer) that input voltage is up to 4,0V, so there should be no problem at all.
Just curious, if you do put in 2 lithium AA, could you tell us if the light is still regulated? Does all the levels work? Cause that dont seem to be the case when you use 14500(initial voltage 4,2V and nominal 3,6V) in the L1D.
Cheers.

I can confirm that L1D CE runs perfectly well with one Energizer Lithium and all the levels are easily recognizable. You cannot though see any difference in brightness/throw between lithium and NiMH (1.8 and 1.2 V respectively) but this is also apparent in Chevrofreak's graphs.
