Fenix L1D CE batteries???

Can a 14500 be used "without harming" this light?

From what I understand, it uses the same head as the L2D CE, so I know it will handle a little over 3v, but what about a little over 4v?
Anyone try?

yes the 14500 will work. its been discussed in many threads. you wont have other modes except for turbo, strobe and sos and i believe the runtime will be shorter but it will be freakin bright

I have the Jet MKI, MKII, CE and waiting for the MKIIx.

Although the Jets are great lights, I really like the UI of the L1D much better.
Low first, then med and high.
I wish all of my lights had that option!!

I get up at 3am, I need really low.
On the way to work, I like medium.
At work I use high (or turbo)
It is cool that you can go from turbo to low with just a twist..., then back again

Taking nothing away from the Jet, as I have another one from the closeout's on the way, but the UI is just right for me on the L1D
