Hello, I am new to the website and I am interested in getting a new flashlight for outdoor/camping/hiking use. I currently have a Petzl E+Lite headlamp, which is really good, but was looking at the Fenix LD01 or L1D as an additional handheld. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

I use the L2D Q5 for hiking/camping as a backup for the EOS. Works great and runs forever. It is not that big for my pack.

Edit, i thought you said LD10 not LD01...
The LD10 has better throw than the L1D, also has anti roll and feels better in the hand.
The LD01 is a gr8 light, bright enough for most needs, with good runtime.

Both are good for outdoor use imho.

well...it depends on what u want actually whether a longer and brighter runtime with the ld10.. or a mini light with the ld01.

i reckon u go for the LD10 or the L1D since u used it for outdoor so longer runtime is always favourable..

I think a 2AA light might work better. Longer runtime, could be easier to handle, and potentially brighter output.

If Fenix, go for the L2D-CE Q5 or LD20.

:welcome:

I just bought the L1D, I dont like the new tailcap design of the LD10, it looks like it will bend/break if its dropped:thumbsdow
