Fenix LD01 - PWM?

Hey, been out of the flashlight world for a while. Saw that Fenix came out w/ a new LDO1, did they fix/upgrade the PWM? I sold my old L0D cuz I didn't like the PWM on the lower settings, might get a new one if they fixed it... thx!

Read the product page, saw that they claim to have fixed it.
Didn't know if that meant they improved it, or went to some other kind of circuit. Was interested in some real world experience, as product pages often make all sorts of claims.

I confess, I had not tried the search function, it used to not work very well so I dismissed it. Just tried it on your suggestion, seems to work better, came up w/ some useful stuff. Seems like they raised the PWM rate so that it doesn't bother most folks anymore, but there still is PWM? Is that a fair summary? Noticed you've posted often on the topic, what's your take on whether the PWM has eliminated the strobe type effect? Thanks!

If you illuminate a ceiling fan rotating at max speed with the light at min level:

- with an L0D as you know you see the blades with a marked strobe effect
- with an LD01 you just see a continuos blur

I believe that this is just what you wanted to know. :)

The LD01 still uses PWM, but at a much more acceptable frequency :)
