Overall the fit and finish on this light are excellent. The beam is fairly smooth, no noticeable artifacts and is has a decent tint. The clicky has a solid feel to it.

The two things that I am disappointed with are the PWM and the reverse clicky. First of all, the ads say that it has a momentary on but alas it is a reverse clicky. Secondly the PWM is pretty noticeable. I am not overly sensitive to PWM but when using it, it does bother me.

This was a bit of an impulse buy and unfortunately the two points I discussed are a bit of a let down. I hope they increase the frequency of the PWM in the future and amend their advertisements.

sell it for 90% of what you paid and buy something else.

no point in keeping anything you dont like:whistle:

I'm not going to sell it or give it away. It'll probably get used at work as originally intended. I just wanted to inform people because the switch type and the PWM would be deal breakers for many I'm sure.

Hi Oddjob,

Is the PWM frequency similar to the one on the LD01 ?

How much different is this from the Preon II? They do seem to be a spitting image of one another. I love my Preon and maybe that is the difference as I don't notice the problems you're having with the Fenix.

It's been a while since I had my LD01 so I can't remember exactly. I don't recall the LD01 bothering me too much though.

I'll let you know when my Preon comes.
