fenix p2d/l1d emmiter size?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone knows the fenix emitter size p2d/l1d ce. I'm going to modify the light with a q5 cree. I'm wondering if the led (emitter) only will have the same size of it. Is the led emitter size standard? I bought some from cutter electronics, and I would appriciate if someone can let me know if it's compatible.

According to the CREE datasheets the emitter is 7.0mm wide, 9.0mm long and 4.3mm high. David Chow (owner of the Fenix Store) tells me the CREE Q5 is the same physical size as the CREE P4 emitter the light originally came with. Hope this helps

If you have the CE series of Fenix(L1D-CE, L2D-CE, P2D-CE, P3D-CE). Then they already have the Cree-P4 in your light and all you will need to do is switch out the LED(Some soldering, prying and twisting will be needed). The LEDs should be the exact same size(you bought just the emitter, no star, right?). If you have the Rebel version, then the Cree will not fit.

if it will fit if I buy the emitter only? Does that mean all the led (with the square thing at the bottom) is all the same size?
