The Fenix P2D RB100 is discontinued on Fenix-Store.com because of problems with the Rebel LED, click here.

What problems?

Lightninghound.com still carries the Rebell in the p2d and the p3d. According to them, they will probably not get any more Rebels from Fenix since the Rebell LED is not available because of a high failure rate in some of their LED's. However, according to service reps at both Fenix-store, and Lightning Hound, they have not had any Fenix Rebell LED failures reported to them.

Yes, some subspec epoxy was used in the emitters' manufacture. Most of the recalled emitters, if they fail, will fail within 24 hours of use. That's kind of a lot for a flashlight.
