Fenix P2D tailcap on an L2D-CE?

Can anyone confirm that the P2D's tailcap will work on an L2D and L1D? I want to buy a P2D complete, then an L1D and L2D body. I'm pretty sure the head is the same on all of them, and I know the tailcap on the L1D and L2D is the same.

I have a P2D and an L1D tube, and it is fully interchangeable. The head and tailcap are the same for both.

I'm told by David of Fenix-Store that the tailcap of the P2D is different from that of the L1D-CE which I assume is why the PD2 body and tailcap are sold as a pair.

The L1D cap has an ID of 19mm. the P2D 20mm. The ODs are 20mm and 21mm respectively. The P2D cap will fit and work on an L1D. The L1D cap will screw on the P2D body but not far enough down to fire the light, won't cover the O-ring.

Thanks guys! Looks like I can get the P2D and then just bodies of the L1D and L2D and it'll work, but shouldn't buy an L2D and expect it's tailcap to work on a P2D body.

Nake, does the P2D tailcap work nicely on the L1D/L2D, or is it just functional but not recommended? It's a mm wider...does the edge stick out when used on the others?

Yea, the edge sticks out 1/2mm and doesn't look too bad, but the caps threads are looser and it's not tight on the O-ring.
