I'm sure there was a thread where somebody wrote about this very issue, but I can't find it.
I have noticed some weeks ago that the LED in my P3D rebel is showing some kind of burn mark on the die.
I haven't noticed a decrease output so it's not (yet?) a significant problem.
Took some macro shots of the die.
I think that the scratch visible in the first picture is on the dome and not inside (maybe scratched during manufacturing, I didn't take the head apart so the LED was never exposed).
If I look at the LED I can't see the scratch.
