Hey Everyone,

I am stuck between two flashlights and was needing some guidance. I like the looks of the Fenix PD25r and E28R. I would be using this as a bedside/outdoor/blood tracking light. I wanted something on the smaller to medium size and both these look good. The major points for me is the candela on the PD25r, but I also really like the battery life per lumens on the E28R. Any advise? Thanks!

Buy both & give me the one you don't like.

If it was my $$ I'd lean into the 28r

The PD25R has a smaller die LED and a reflector compared to the E28R which has a larger LED and a TIR lens so you get a narrow beam vs a floody one, The E28R low is too high for a bedside light IMO, as far as runtime the PD25R 16340 wont stand a chance against a 18650, both are nice lights and i always had a good reliability from Fenix, I would say go with the E28R but if you're open to alternatives.... a jetbeam RRT01 gives you lower low and higher high than the PD25R also comes with a 18350 battery and extensions to run 18650 and a really good UI with its magnetic rotary ring for a few additional bucks.

Thanks for the advised! I should have explained what I meant by bedside, I want to use it as a primary flash light for when I hear things go bump in the night. Not for something with low lumen to look for something in my night stand.
