Joseph Swann had a practical incandescent lamp 10 years before Tam Edison.

Like the filament image , guess its projected rather than a macro photo of the lamp itself?

That image is the reason why I don't consider the Magnum Star range of replacement bulbs to be an "upgrade" to the WhiteStars.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">It reminds me of the filament image I'm getting from my tigerlight at 25 feet. Of course this is on a white screen which has little relevance to real life use.

I can't really fault Tiger light since they are deliberately using a smooth reflector to max out brightness.
