I went to "Red Robin" burger joint before a baseball game. Sitting in a booth I notice what seemed like a higher than normal color temp spot shining down on the table. Around 3500K it seemed like a low voltage halogen spot. Next I put my hand in front to see if there is infrared, but no heat.

Upon further inspection it has 3 LEDs and seems to put out about the same light as a 50 watt halogen spot. It is nice to see LEDs making inroads in general lighting like this.

I was actually working on a project like this for a friend, and while I figured how to deliver a nice warm spot on a table, CRI was another problem.

Prepared Food is really sensitive when it comes to looking appetizing under different types of light. You just can't throw any type of warm-white LED over a pizza and have it look good. :) I'm assuming they're using high CRI emitters.
