I have too many chinnese lights, i'll probably spent more money on custom building. I am currently building M@g85, M@g Cree and 35w HID MCP spotlight conversion.
Bought this year - nothing yet - what I bought November/December will have to keep me for quite a while. I'm still waiting for several of them, the most anticipated being the kit to do some mag mods from KD, a 4x Cree from DX and a Zebralight headlamp.
To sell this year - none of them. Most of the ones I might sell are likely to be given away or modded - or both.
I'd like an HDS light but am unlikely to spend that much on one light unless management drastically increase what they pay me. Since i work in the public sector that ain't gonna happen.
The highest probability light purchase is another Orb Raw when the next LED revolution comes along - if that isn't in 2008, I'll wait.
Bought my first three lights at one minute past midnight, 1-1-08 (by my atomic clock, Pacific). I pulled the trigger on an order for a SF E2L and a od green G2 and blk G3, both as platforms for play, switching LF bulbs and LED drop-ins. I don't drink anymore but I think this flashaholic was delirious with new light fever. I'm not sick, just incurably desperate. Hope your new year is off to a great start, too.

I'm not sure what to count. I ordered some Peak lights on december 31 2007 to catch the last of their year-end sale. They haven't arrived yet. Does that count as a 2007 purchase or a 2008 purchase?
First attempted 2008 purchase was one of the closeout LRI Protons at tadgear but I have to get my credit card reactivated before I can put that through.
1. Nautilus Hardcoat - sheer build quality, small EDC size and long run time.
2. Proton Pro - Very Small AA Battery travel light with Cree and red LED for ultra low low.
3. HDS TW70 - awesome specs and indestructible build quality
4. Lumapower LM 31 - excellent basic travel AA battery light for my wife.
Just placed an order for a SF G3L which promises to be a great addition to my collection. Still waiting on an L1 which I ordered last month, oh the anticipation!
What will be your first flashlight bought or aquired for the new year?
M600A
Why?
Umm, good question....next...
What will be your first flash light that you sell this year?
It should be the M600A! But then I rarely sell anything I've gone to the trouble of buying (I'm in New Zealand, everything SF has to come from overseas).
Why?
I don't really need it. Actually I don't even remotely need it.
Surefire E1L cree. Already have the L1 cree and E2L cree. So why get the E1L? Bridges the gap between the lights as far as size, output, and runtime. I like the L1 for its low primary setting, this is good to use in low light conditions or with dark adjusted eyes, along with a high brightness option. The E2L has its nice long runtime with a good output level. However, the E1L will be more pocketable then either light and its 30 lumens will be more useful when I use the light in higher ambient lighting conditions. It will also last much longer than the high beam of the L1. I find that I generally prefer a bit higher primary setting than 10 lumens.
I havnt decided what my first light will be this year. I have a few on my list. A SF M3, M6, or A2, or maybe an HID. Ive been lookin at the Amondotech N30, or maybe one of the Microfires or WolfEyes, still need to look into it. Bday comin up soon, so I figure ill buy myself somethin in the near future.
