first mod - can you walk me through this?

The hack saw is for cutting off the the original bulb tower/holder that is a part of the switch. Cutting this off exposes the positive and negative terminals in witch you would have to solder to. The hack saw is also used for cutting off the "cam" of the reflector. A dremel could also be used for either of these applications.

Thanks again everyone, too many posters to thank individually, but I have read and absorbed them all.
The charts and explanations were good and made a lot of sense. Also the product links too.
