First Surefire m600a

I picked up what the seller told me was a m600c. But it has a KL4 head, so I am assuming it is an A model.


My first order of business is to get a new head so that it is more of a thrower, instead of the fill that it has. What are some recommendations for a quality head, and I will also take a recommendation for a budget head that I know will not be good for durability, but perhaps impress my friends like my ultrafire 502b. Does. I would at least like a head that is a bright or brighter than the ultrafire.

I don't plan on getting rid of the kl4 as I will use it when mounted to my AR, FYI. This is just a start to my E-series lights.

Another vote for the KX2C. But don't forget at indoor civilian distances that KL4 does a fine job of lighting a room from corner to corner.

You didn't happen to pick this up at a gun show didya? In PA? I swear I saw a guy with a table about a month back that was selling that same exact set-up, with the same chips in the ano on the head.

Nice light. If I'd had the cash on me, I woulda picked it up.
