Firstlight Tomahawk and rechargeables?

My friend bought one and asked if he can use rechargeables?

I'm sure he can use 17650. But not sure about 2xRCR123.

Do all firstlight models run at 8.4V?

That puts these on my WANT list.

I can't say for certain that all Tomahawk (or Liberator) models can handle 8.4V, but I've seen quite a few people claim to be running 2x Li-ion without issue. There was even one thread a while back in which someone modded a Leef 2x 18650 E-head/C-tail tube to use with their Tomahawk. (The Tomahawk has more threads, but they're the same diameter and pitch as Surefire E-series. You can even use a stock Tomahawk body as an E-series 17500 twisty.)
