I know about black Sharpies, but I wonder what else might be out there and being successfully used to touch up the anodizing on a light body. Auto products? Olive drab furniture wax?

I got tired of the sharpies eventually rubbing off and have switched to the black paint pens you find at craft stores for my black body lights...Steve

I have read that Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black is good. It is used to to touch up guns so it probably last pretty long. I have no personal experience with the stuff but someone just used it on their Nitecore DI with good results. The picture is in one of the Nitecore DI threads.

Black Hammerite. For the proper finish, empty the vacuum cleaner bag over it while it is wet. Hammerite just seems to call for this. Been patching up motorcycle frames with this for 30 years. It is tough and looks awful - what more could you want? Traditionally it is applied with a stick in a duststorm. :)
