Come to think of it, Japanese flasholics have been buying US lights and mods for years. Maybe it's time for the other way around? I mean the entire light, not just the converters such as ARC Mania's creations.

BON/kj, thanks for the links to the rof-1s...the photos present an interesting style... could i trouble either of you to answer at couple of quesions:

the review(s) appear to be evaluating pre-production units,
based on a photo of the rof-1 packaging is the light in production or a limited/custom mod?

what timeperiod [ date ] was the rof-1 introduced?


am i correct in assuming this light has 3 power settings
and uses a 1 watt or 3 watt HD luxeon?


if this light is in production can you suggest where i can obtain one or direct me to additional information such as the manufacturers location where it can be purchased,
( retail stores ) and the approximate cost?

.....anyone own one, looks interesting?

rob,This light isn't being produced. This light was created by RUU. All(Body and converter etc.) is the original.
Ten pieces were sold first and, next, as for the light, two pieces were sold.

thanks BON, your site gets better with each passing....sure would like to get a hold of one of these rof-1s though.

its has a good shape and with 3 power levels....although i question the 4k lux reading........packaging looks very good as in "retail", a lot of work for a limited production run, very detailed.

sure these can not be purchased somewhere? or is Illuminum making them for RUU..anyhow if you come across any being sold i would be interested in buying one [ if they are not too expensive) so any info would be appreciated...PM is best, no rush here.....

ROF-1 is not sold any longer. Only 12 was made.

(I have not understood the content at all yet. ROF is made by not the selling purpose but the occasion of a hobby.
