Flickering light

New A10 from DX with fresh bats. Using various 1.2v Nimh's. Ordered some Li-ions - on the way. Every few seconds the light will go extremely dim for a second then back to normal. The battery seems to be touching everything fine. I dont know much about lights so what should I check / do? Thanks.

Ultrafire A10? Try cleaning all contact surfaces with alcohol. If it doesn't help I would sent a faulty item received ticket to DX.

I got two UF A10 that worked perfectly without flickering (unlike those crappy UF C3s).

Ultrafire A10 is one of the most durable and reliable DX light based on reviews here, Just go get a replacement from DX.

Before you do that, there is a handy thread in general flashlight stuff about what to do to clean and prepare your new DX flashlight for use. This involves cleaning, greasing the threads, and several other things to ensure you are getting a good solid contact and also removing any thread residue (grainyness) that might also be messing up the contact.
