Yeah, the Flupic is a great board and a great bargain. I have two Flupic lights and have one on the way as we speak. And if my Jetbeam C-LE ever dies from running a 14500 in it (which I assume it will at some point), I'll get a proper heatsink in there along with a Flupic if one fits.

Great board... get em while they are on sale!

1 x 0.77" (19.55mm) Arc-LS/Q3 size board, 1.2mm thick @ $20.00 - 10% = $18.00

+ $3.00 shipping
+ 3% for CC paypal

$21.63

Please confirm my math and I'll get $$$ on it's way :)

Which interface does this have? If it's the v2.2, great... if not... fine, which is it :)

How much would it cost me to get one of the flupics that Doug was going to put in the FF3?

Do you have some detailed specs on the flupic? I did a quick search but did not find everything I was looing for.
I wanted to know the max/min input voltage, max current to the emitter, efficiency of unit, etc.

If it works with 3x1.5v alkie cells and will run till they are drained pretty good and have a high mode of 1000ma I think I will have to get one.
There is a lot of info about the FLuPIC and links to threads in my JIL info post and the thread that it is in: see here

The FLuPIC will work with 3 x 1.5v alkaline cells.

The max input voltage is about 5.5V.

The FLuPIC is a buck driver that limits the maximum current with LDO's (2 LDO's on most FLuPIC boards but only 1 on the tiny 10.55mm miniFLuPIC boards). Since the FLuPIC is not a boost driver the battery voltage needs to be enough to drive the LED you are using. If the battery voltage exceeds the Vf of the LED, the maximum current will be limited by the LDO's. The max current varies somewhat with the LDO's used although about 1 to 1.2 Amps seems typical for the Max Brightness mode. If the battery voltage is less than the Vf of the LED, the LED will be underdriven. If the battery voltage is much less than the Vf of the LED, it will not light up.

I am not aware of any tests of the efficiency of the FLuPIC.

Here is a link to the thread with the FLuPIC v2.2 flowchart: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/123520

The idea of using one controller per LED in multi-LED lights suddenly becomes appealing.
Run a tri-Cree off of a single li-ion cell with regulation and all the bells and whistles.

:paypal: for 8 FLuPIC boards
"1. 0.55" (13.96mm) Sammie size board, 1.6mm thick is going for $15 each + $3 shipping anywhere."

I think that he can not accept that payment on his regular paypal acount without updating the acount. His other acount that he requested you to send payment to is set up to accept credit card payment already. Please correct me it I am wrong.
