Okay, heres the scoop. My 3 LED light that was made by a local flashaholic using a 12volt digilight for the body was ripped off in a hotel room by the cleaning staff so I cant make the comparison myself. I also have a Surefire M961 ( basically an M3 ) with the MN11 lamp. The LED was a super bright monster and had pretty good throw but without putting them side by side I dont know how it directly compared to the M961.
I need to know if the incan or the led is the way to go in fog. I want to get the best distance without alot of glare. I think the flood of the LED would be more of a problem than help with fog but I dont know. Also is there any beamfilter that may increase useable distance in fog?
I have a night time shoot coming up and last year there were tons of comments of how the fog really caused problems for people and I'd like to have every advantage I can. There's a ton of light knowledge here and I'd like to see what you guys think is the best way to go.
Any other insights that you might share would be appreciated.
Thanks!!lovecpf
