Fonarik flashlight version 2 development

Some of you might remember the Fonarik flashlight that I designed awhile ago. It turned out to be pretty cool but a little expensive and a bit too heavy.

I started working on a second version and I would like to share my design progress here. Somebody might find it interesting or might give me some feedback.
I have a next design in mind. It should have less parts, be lighter, have more modes, be cheaper and it'll have a clip or a loop to hold it.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. The Fonarik was really interesting. I am assuming that it uses a Reed switch actuated by a magnet?

Yes, reed swtich but I might change it to a ultra low current hall sesnsor

I'm experimenting with a new shape. I wanted to some cut outs to the slider to make it less slippery. Do you think it looks cooler with cut outs on the body as well or not ? The picture shows just the lower part but im thinking to add it to top part as well.
