For non edc's-removing ding from Maglite.

For the shelf queen/wow lights. I have a Silver 2D sized Mag that has a small ding right on the edge of the barrel where you press the switch. Anyone ever try to repair a ding?

I'm never removed one in that location. But once when I was beating out a stuck battery I dinged the tail cap lip. It was flared outward a bit, so it wasn't a true dent. It didn't damage the threads so I put the tail cap back on and lightly tapped the raised area down then ground it down with a dremel. The anodizing was lost anyway so it didn't bother me. It's a working light, not shelf anyway.

What is it? A Lux mod or a hotwire mod?

If it doesn't a heatsink, I'd probably just buy another Mag and do a transplant before I sold it.

If I wasn't 100% ready to sell it, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

If it is only a small dent you could fill it with clear 2 part epoxy and file it to shape

Thanks, it's a hotwire mod. You're right, maybe I'll transplant or just not worry about it unless I sell.
