Hi all,
I'm looking for a Sundrop XR-U with the Nichia UV LED, preferably the newer 033B but would consider the 033A also.
Will also consider Haiku or Mule with this emitter. Prefer 3v / single 123 pak. Surface marks are ok but prefer to avoid anything that can't be polished out.
Willing to buy or can trade mint High CRI mule.
Thanks for looking,
Matt

Re: WTB: McGizmo UV Sundrop / Haiku / Mule

Hi Matt....I have a custom mule done by Swiss Bianco in a blue and gold that I installed the best UV light engine I have seen yet by DatiLED...

*** Note*** I also upgraded the clip shown in this photo to a tripod mount for photography purposes

The light engine uses a Nichia NCSU033B(T) LED driven at 500mA with a single level GD converter board. The LED is directly mounted to a custom made aluminum can for excellent heat transfer. The GD board in the light engine will allow for a voltage range of 1.8V - 5.5V, for the use of primary, or RCR cells. The peak wavelength of the LED is 365nm, and the use of proper safety glasses is recommended. (I have a set of UVPS orange protective goggles available for $10 if desired.)

This light engine is perfect for curing Norland 61, scorpion hunting, finding pet stains, inspecting hotels for cleanliness, etc. $135 shipped in the U.S.

Nichia NCSU033B LED with leads soldered in place, and custom made Aleph can.

Completed UV light engines, with others in progress. (From run of UV LEs in late 2012.) The thermal epoxy fillet is to add strength and additional heatsinking to the LED. This is probably overkill, but I wanted these light engines to outlive the LED.

$400 and it's yours....Personal favorite that just lived in a case and was never carried. I liked the anno job to differentiate the UV from my other mules. VERY COOL! Let me know! Karl

Re: WTB: McGizmo UV Sundrop / Haiku / Mule

Hi Karl, thanks very much for the reply!
I'm looking for this one to use at work so although the anodising looks great it actually goes against my needs for this one and would rather plain old titanium finish. I also would like to minimise UV exposure when possible (will be shining on skin at close range) so having 3 levels would be better so I can use the lowest setting that will fluoresce the subject matter. The DatiLED modules do look sweet though, if this were a 3-mode I'd be all over it.
Thanks again,
Matt

I could also offer a mint high CRI (119 3S LE) titanium mule (or parts thereof) as a trade. Thanks for looking!

Re: WTB: McGizmo UV Sundrop / Haiku / Mule

I've been offered a 3-level DatiLED LE, which I can put in my Sundrop or Mule, so thanks all, this thread has now served it's purpose!
