Like I said a few scratches on the head. I'll be shipping a borofloat lens. The Asphere lens works best with my 50W IRC Osram, and won't burn. If you want to play with both lenses I can do that too. If you don't like the host you can swap the parts over to a new host yourself in short order.

Re: WTB: Your Mag623!

That looks like a nice setup.

BTW, assuming that is a MadMaxaBeam IB-1400mAh 2/3A pack, from my experience I would recommend charging it (most of the time) at 0.8 to 1 Amp, and periodically do a 0.2 Amp (or use trickle mode on most chargers) for 15-16 hours. It helps to condition the cells in the pack and keep them more balanced.

Also, try to prevent over-discharging the cells in "Direct Drive" (aka: non-regulated) lights like this, stop using when you notice light getting dim, and recharge. The bulb will suck the very soul out of the batteries, going well below the 0.9V/cell safe discharge cutoff.

Again, this looks like a good torch, and a nice seller, hope it works out.

Always a pleasure to have you drop by Lux!
(He's one of the top incan guys around)
Good point on re-charging when you notice things getting dim.

Re: WTB: Your Mag623!

Hey Sgt, by any chance do you have pics of the aspheric + 64623 combo? I'd love to see some outdoor beamshots. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like the same aspheric lense (50mm or 52mm) that is used on cree xr-e applications.

Re: WTB: Your Mag623!

It probably is the same. i think ive only seen 1 beamshot with a hotwire and an aspheric lense. definately had some throw.

Re: WTB: Your Mag623!

Rig up a shot in a bit!
Edit: 50W + asphere will burn!
Ask my pants.
Work on the shot later...........

omg, such a delima. someone offered me a mint condition original Mac Torch. This is such a hard decision, do i go with the more powerful light with more options from Sgt. LED, or do i go with the ultra rare Mac torch. I wish i could have both. :mecry:

Re: WTB: Your Mag623!

Ive decided to go with the Original Mac Torch.

thank you for waiting Sgt. LED. anyways you know that light will have no problem selling if you do create a FS thread.

but any chance of you selling me that aspherical lens? and maybe spare bulbs?

I'm still interested in seeing that beam shot though.

Also, I'm curious if the bezel has to be modified to fit the aspheric. I know that the Mac Aspherics were described as having a modified bezel.

Re: WTB: Your Mag623!

Any interest in a Mag61 by any chance?
