Fundamental McLux questions...

I know nothing about the McLux. Does it use a Dat2zip sandwich? Is there a tube accessory that allows use of one AA cell?

NOPE

Mclux uses DAt's board, not sammich. SO you can use BB or MM, but you will need to wire them and epoxy them yourself.
As far as i know, there is NO tube accesorry that would allow use of one AA cell. There is, however, one that can accept 2 AA cells, which is the 3 123 cell body tube. you just need a spacer.

You can run the Arc LS head with 1xAA using the 1x123 body and no spacer.
