I have a 2AA Portable CD Player in my truck that plays through a cassette adapter.

On Alkaline cells, I was getting maybe two full plays, skips and gaps, and all sorts of nonsense.

Since putting a couple of NimH in it, I have probably played 5 or 6 full CDs, and one or two songs several times. It always shows at least 3 of 5 bars of anti skip, and rarely ever does ANYTHING wrong!

I can't say enough good about using NimH in this aplication!

I know they will fall off a cliff when they do run down. That's why I carry two more NimH and several Alkaline cells in the truck.

But the way that they have effected the operation of the CD player is remarkable!

Any other experiences like mine???

I have an electric toothbrush that runs at least 50% longer on NimH than on alkalines - and > 200% longer than with NiCd's.

I've had some older NiMHs go bad, but my latest batch of Powerex 2000mAh have been excellent. I check the individual cells occasionally if I suspect something amiss, like short life, conditioning or charging time.

Me Too! the Crest Spin Pro. Also, I notice that I get max power every day, instead of it getting a little slower every day.

I have been using it for at least 4 weeks on one set of batteries.

My wife uses my NiMH batteries for her digital camera, and gets excellent run time. I keep an extra set charged up that she carries with her for backup. Now when she wants a quick charge I will use my new Rayovac 15 minute charger to top them off (special Rayovac batteries for this charger)in a few minutes.
