Another time, another place.
I went to a DOLLAR TREE store today and found a flashlight with a clickie switch for a dollar. I disassembled the light when I got home and found that the switch seems to be the same as the one used in the Garrity light which sells for 8 bucks. It operates the same as the Garrity switch, making contact on the upstroke.

Whoops!

Notice the two 'wings' coming out the sides of the switch pictured???

One is Pos. and one is Neg. No contact on bottom (I have a 2D light similar and checked the switch out).

One would need to figure out how to get one wing down under without touching a side. And we use the wings on the clickie from a 2AA Garrity to keep it in place...

Might still be a way to use these, but they are different than the one that costs us +- 7 bucks.

A mere bagatelle, my good man, easily remedied by the judicious use of the hot end of a soldering iron. Fill in the newly acquired gap with your choice of non-conductive filler material.

Could be... but on the Garrity clickie I used out of a newer version of the 2AA...
In trying to make my PM6 have a Garrity switch, one of the ground ears on the side broke off. It would no longer work reliably in a G2.. (and never did work reliably in the PM6)

These will only have one neg ear with the pos ear turned under the switch.

Additionally, the one I examined was trying to come apart down at the bottom.

It might work, but the 2AA clickie is a more sure thing.
