GD1000 maximum output current? (with changed resistor values)

Hi

I wonder what maximum output current the GD1000 can deliver.

The shop states "maximum output >1A". So i think there is more than 1A available with the correct resistor values.

I need a buck/boost-converter for a mag with a P7 LED running on 3 alcaline D-cells.
There is no need for me to run the maximum of 2.8A through the LED.
I would be fine with a current somewhere inbetween 1.2A and 1.8A.

Can the GD-board be configured to such a high amperage? Which resistor combination sets the output current to the max?

Is the GDuP an alternative?

Thanks for your answers.

I thought there were some electronical problems running two boost-converter in parallel.

Does anyone have a valid wiring diagram für paralleling two GD1000?
Do they have to be syncronised?

As datiled posted, I have three running in parallel. I set each one to 1111. I'm surprised how close the actual output is to what it's rated. Rated 3333 & I measured 3350. Can't beat Wayne's drivers!

Datasheet for the IC says 1.2A max. Not sure what other components on the board limits that. My GD3333 is running strong. I'm guessing 1.2A is doable, I'd do it, but be sure to heatsink it. I'm not responsible for any mishaps though. Hopefully Wayne can chime in.

Darkzero, I have a single GD1000 I am finally going to wire up and use with a single P4 LED. I have the picture of the wiring diagram, but where to I wire up the negative feed from the battery/housing? I get Vin, Led+, and LED-. HELP!!

Battery- is the same connection as LED-
