Gerber gator 154cm

Anybody has the drop point gator? the blade appears to have no thumb stud, no thumb hole, no nail pick, no flipper, how do you open it?

Also how's the heat treatment on it? Compare to other 154cm blade knives from say benchmade.

Just grip the closed blade in between your thumb and index finger, and open it.

Gerber folders never have too much tension in the closed position. No need for a nail-nick.

Thanks! Kinda strange consider every other style of gator has a stud/hole, yet the best of the bunch has none (so no one hand operation I suppose).
