Some of you have told me that you have been wanting to get your own Arc-LS but you have had trouble raising the cash. Coming from a modest upbringing myself, I can relate.

In 2001, Arc Flashlight was the first flashlight company to make a Luxeon Star LED flashlight. Not only were we the first, but we included features like hand sorted LEDs, regulation and hard anodize that some of our competitors are yet to catch up with.

During 2002-2003, I continued to make improvements to our design including; high dome LEDs, current regulation, thermal limiting, water proofing, etc. Again, some of these are features our competitors are yet to copy. In 2004, we have more improvements planned of course.

As each successive generation has come out, we have discounted the previous version.

Not everyone can afford the latest version of Arc. But, these previous versions are a good way to, "get your foot in the door".

This is good for two reasons:

1. For not a lot of money, you can get some features that our competitors are yet to have. So even though these lights are not the most recent Arc design, they are still more advanced than normal flashlight fare.

2. We have found that when people buy these lower cost Arcs, they are more likely to come back and purchase our newer products. Products they would have never had considered buying previously.

Also, discounted older versions are also good for introducing Arc to your friends and family. We really like this concept because word of mouth is a heck of a lot better way to find out about a product than some banner ad, etc.

So, without much further ado, here's my offer:

Factory First Arc-LSL for $59.95

(we also have free FedEx domestic shipping until after Christmas btw)

LSpacks.jpg

This is a Factory First, hand sorted LED, low dome luxeon star, current regulated at 333mA, waterproof, hard anodize, Click here for full Specs) . Run time is about 2 hours at full brightness. This offer includes a Duracell 123, TSP-123 pack and TSP-2AA pack. Back when these were our top of the line flashlight, they sold for quite a bit more. Now that we have new designs, we are hoping people will take advantage of this discount to find out for themselves why Arc is the best manufacturer of LED flashlights.

One of the things I worry about when we offer a lower price on one of our hand-crafted products is that people will think that the quality has dropped. These are factory first units with 1W luxeon star that has been hand sorted. It has a 30-day satisfaction and 10-year warranty on it. It is backed up by our well known service and support. Eclipsed only by other Arc models, the Arc-LSL is the brightest production flashlight in the world for its size.

There are people reading this who don't yet own an Arc-LS. For those people, I ask the following: If you need a dependable and bright LED flashlight, please give Arc a chance to demostrate what many others already know.

Thank you!

Thank you, Peter. Me being someone who's a flashaholic, but only to a point, you hit the mark here. Fantastic deal! Too bad I'll have to wait til Christmas to play with it.

You're not making it easy to put off getting my first Arc LS, are you... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I was putting off buying one until the LS4 was going to come out... but I couldn't pass this up! Damn you. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The bin used in the LSL-S is M-N flux, 3-4 tint. We then hand sort them for tint conformity. There will be some variations from unit to unit of course but within the range specified above.

Peter . . . would you be willing to allow one to substitute your excellent carrying pouch (worth $9.95) for the TSP 2AA (worth $9.95)? I know the potential recipient on my list would enjoy the former, but probably never use the latter. Just a suggestion. Thanks, and Merry Christmas,

Dave

Well shut my mouth.. I just post about how I don't want to get an LS because of high price and the fact that the LS4 is coming out next year, but this deal just changed everything. After I finish this post, I'm going to order one with the AA adaptor... right now!

Edited: Order sent!

I find the phrase "you get what you pay for" usually comes true in real life, and something tells me only an arc will fill that void for a useful around the house light (one watt luxeon) with a nice looking beam that has good useful side light, is durable, and just plain looks and feels good in my hand. The other one watt luxeons that take AA batteries just don't cut it.

Very nice Peter... I just ordered one. Now to figure out who gets this as a gift < s >

Peter - I'm leaning toward purchasing one of these along with a pouch. But, I need to pay with PayPal and I don't see that as an option on the shopping cart...please advise so I know whether or not this will be possible.

ok...my apologies for not "reading the manual".
Will you be as kind and come over and install my AAA battery in my Arc AAA for me? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
