I'm going to send for the T20C2 MarkII from Pacific Tactical Solutions. Before checking out they recommend the UltraFire WF-139 for $20 and EagleTac PowerTac 18650 batteries for $10. Should I just get that charger and battery or are there better options out there? Thanks.

Better options.

Get the Ultrafire WF-139 but I think DealExtreme sells it for less with free shipping. Instead of the EagleTac battery go to CPFMarketplace and order the AW Protected 18650 2600 mAh from either user 'Nite' or directly from user 'AW'. Will cost a little more than the EagleTac but I think it is a higher quality battery.

here is the link to the AW thread

you'll find the charger and batteries, and all the info you need about Liths. Make sure you spend the extra for a protected cel, the safest choice, IMHO. I ordered the charger and 2 protected 14500s and am very happy with them. (although I see that dealextreme does have the charger for less - $13.90 with free shipping)

EDIT - an informative comparison thread -

Thanks guys. I just ordered the T20C2 MarkII, the Ultrafire WF-139 and two AW Protected 18650 2600 mAh batteries along with some spacers.

um.... will the EagleTac work with the AW flat top 18650s?

I would have suggested just getting the eagletac cells to guarantee they will fit and work correctly.

Cheap option (not bad)
-Trustfire fire label
-Ultrafire WF139

Expensive option
-AW 18650 cells
-Pila IBC

Go for cheap if you know how to take care of li-ion cells.

It should work with the spacers that I'm getting with them.

Is there a thread or link to info on what I should know about taking care of them?
