getting into a P2D

How do I get the head apart so i can put some GITD under the lense? Does the head unscrew at what appears to be a joint?

Yes, it does. But some of them are better glued than others. One of mine I could open very easily just by turning it hard with my hands, but the other one I have tried many times with different tools, but still no luck. Even tried different ways of heating and cooling it.

I wonder what kind of store I can buy a couple of those strap wrenches in. And what they are called in Norwegian

should be able to get them at most any hardware store.

i intend to carefully use two small pipe wrenches with some rubber bicycle inner tube around the light for protection.

That's exactly what i tried, but the pipe wrenches went right through the double layer of rubber and scratched up the head. That thing must be glued REALLY good. Didn't move at all.
