Talk about high tech materials Check this out:
This disk is unique why you might ask?
I will tell you.
This is a Carbon fibre disk with a strontium aluminate mixture with LIQUID POLYMER Clay.
The strontium aluminate pigment is added to the liquid polymer clay the resulting mixture is put on a Carbon fibre disk and then baked for 10 minutes. The result is seen above.
IMHO the ease of use and results are a whole lot better than making the same mixture from epoxy. The finished product can be sanded and worked like plastic. it is hard and relatively strong.
Anyway I found myself experimenting last night and this is what I came up with.
The "mixture" can be applied to anything that can handle 10 minutes at 300 Degrees F. I suppose a whole LE could go in and be baked with ease.
Anyway I just thought I would show you guys what is new at the Mofo LABS.
Thoughts ideas suggestions?
I am giving these away if you look in the custom BST forum you will find out how to get one.
