Generally, the D-Mini has a more focused (smaller/brighter) hotspot than the Gladius. D-Mini on the left, Gladius on the right, F/2.8, 1/15s.

Aside from that, the gladius has the most intuitive switch mechanism I've ever used. It's probably a lot more expensive though. edit: I forgot it's 2008 now
