Has anybody tried painting a gun sight with the ultra green Glow paint from Glow, Inc.?

Just wondering if it's worth my time to try this or not. Examples would be the bead on a shotgun. I assume paint it white then cover with glow paint, then seal would be appropriate.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Every reviewer I have come across said that the stickers available from nitesiters.com are brighter than any GITD paints. I plan to use a combo of those on my thin back sight blade and a trit for my front sight as soon as B@rt has the little green ones back in stock.

I haven't used that brand, but I have used other high quality GID paint with mediocre results. I suggest drilling into the site a little so that you can sort of fill the cavity with paint and have more GID material in there.

The biggest problem I've run across with GID is that you need to charge it for it to work. Might work better on a long gun as opposed to a pistol that spends most of the time in a holster though.

There are also glow tape strips you might want to take a look at. They are made by Duck and called Reflective Glow Strips. They glow as well as the g10 powders or paints from Glow Inc and are pretty inexpensive, easy to cut and stick like crazy. You can find them at several of the large hardware stores or Amazon.
