I recently purchased one of the Electrolumens "lookalike" 3W 2AA lights. I'm happy with light output, but the threads attaching body to head have stripped badly, it cannot be tightened. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif There are no other lights available for replacement. It was suggested to me that I glue the head to the body.

What type of glue would work best for this application?

If you want a strong, but removable bond, you might try Loctite thread locker (blue is the semi-permanent, IIRC)- a permanent fix would be the Loctite "Black Max" -- very strong bond for this kind of stuff. Simpler and easily removable would be a RTV silicon - "FormaGasket","Shoe Goo", etc.
