the charger is built in to the unit it has a cord that plugs into 110v and tucks away when not in use
i have 2 of them one for over 4 years i think it it has a dumb charger after keeping it pluged in for 3 years straight and it cooked the battery so this newer one in plug in once a month overnight (SLA batts hold there charge about the best of all the rechargables much better then NiMh)
now that i know this of there charger/battery setup i would recommend it to anyone its really very bright 2 10 watt tubes i have used it with both 1 and 2 tubes and even on 1 its bright and i dont think ANYONE can beat their price exept them sometimes it on sale for $12
