Good light to mod for beginners

I am getting interested in a light that would be easy to mod. (e.g. change emitter or other simple mods) Would like suggestions in an EDC type of light.

Can't beat the ease of updating a Mini-Maglite 2AA "classic".


There are lotsa' great LED upgrade modules available for this.


Anybody can accomplish the task, with no tools and little effort.



Makes a world of difference, updating your Old model to New !

The 6P is probably the most universal light out there. There's so many parts available for modding.

The Nuwai QIII is a good candidate. Just change the emitter star to a Seoul.

Yeah, I agree, there is so much stuff for the 6P its insane.

And, if you mod the 6p and don't like it, you can just drop in a SF lamp assembly and you're back to start!
